We are inviting applications for an Assistant Professor in Communication Systems with Specialization in Security, Privacy and Trust. You will work in the areas of security, privacy, trustworthiness, and robustness aspects of communications systems, using tools from statistical inference, signal processing, machine learning, distributed and decentralized optimization, complex networks, and applied information theory.

The position is based at the Division of Communication Systems in the Department of Electrical Engineering, and will be funded by the strategic research area Security Link. Security Link has been funded by the Swedish government since 2010, and is a collaboration between Linköping University, Swedish Defense Research Agency (FOI), KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and Chalmers University of Technology.

As Assistant Professor you are expected to lead and perform research at the highest international level and build an externally funded research program that contributes towards solving important problems in society, and that has a connection to the Swedish business sector. You are also expected to supervise Ph.D. and M.Sc. students, to teach and develop courses at all levels within the subject area, and to contribute to Security Link’s broader goals within research, graduate education, dissemination, and exploitation.

The employment is full-time, for 5 years, with the possibility of promotion to Associate Professor after that period. Starting date by agreement.
